What I Missed In Singapore While I Was Away

We were all waiting around at Little Bali for Kaying to show so the rest updated me on what I missed in the 2 weeks I was away.

Claudius : Oh man Sunita, you missed all the drama. We were at this place and this guy was bugging Ira. Not really bugging but kind of talking to her. And she told him to LEAVE ME ALONE but he wouldn't.

Archana : So Ira threw her drink in his face

Me : Wow! I always wanted to do that. But no one like bugs me and I don't think I could aim properly even.

Archana : Yeah well then his group came over to pick a fight with our group. And I was all ready to fight and all. And then I turned back and all our guys were missing! It was just me up alone against all those guys!

Me : Man you guys are useless

Anne : Seriously, You guys did not even help Archana?


Claudius : We are not useless! We were all there at the back ready to support you!



Karl : Actually, I was not at the back. I was on the phone to my girlfriend in Germany.


Ashwin : Hey you got to understand the situation here before you judge us.


Anne & Me & Archana : What situation?!!!


Ashwin : See with Karl away on the phone, it was only me and Archit and Claudius against all those ******* buggers. Who do you think the cops are gona haul off to prison? Yup! That is right, the two Indian boys and the Black Man.


Claudius : Moreover our lawyer was in India!


And after all that, Kaying did not show.

The Couples' First Dance

Bea & I visit with the Rajputs (Poovathinkals) at "India Nite"

Bea and I had a great trip. It was real nice to see everyone again, especially Jojo and Pakku who have been great at keeping in touch over the years. And yet, it was disorientating too. Grandma not being there and not even stepping into Bethany felt deeply strange. Also, the kids were all grown-up. I still remember Talitha and Nikki (my two favourites) as a baby and a kid respectively, and tried vainly to connect them to the two beautiful young ladies bustling about around me. All my contemporaries had children of their own - even Chinna has a young son! Ah well twelve years is a long time. And yet, I can't shrug it off philosophically - I feel sorta cheated not to have seen the kids grow up (especially Talitha) and to have missed all the weddings and other shennanigans.

As blogger has been a super pain recently (especially for people like me i.e. I am even anal about spacing), I won't be uploading more photographs. As is this post took almost 4 months to complete.

Christmas this year was at Kelvin & Jennifer's place. Jen went for a classic Christmas look in brown and gold. Kelvin could not make it back and Daddy had to oversee church activities in PeeDee, so it was just us 4 girls for Christmas.

After the not-too-bad-reception of our previous Christmas party where only the Angel was arrested....Nitin and I decide to hold another....with a lot of help from our friends.

Teng Kwee designed the invite so well that Beatrice really thought she got invited to some glam-event in - "OMIGOD Changi!"
